Will i get into the University of Maryland College Park?

I'm a rising senior and i really want to get into UMDCP, but one of my friends told - he goes to UMD - that i have to take the SAT before September to apply there. The thing is i took mine in May, but i got a really bad score and i was thinking about taking it in October 1st, because that's the next testing day. So do i have a chance in getting to UMD?
